Small Groups

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42

Small Groups are one of the primary environments for growing closer to God and others at The Mount Church. These groups meet for Bible study, meals, accountability and fellowship at various times and locations and have room for people just like you to join! We strongly encourage you to find one of the groups that closest shares your scheduling needs and pursue that place of growth, connection and belonging that we all desire and need.

During Spring 2018, we will have 5 small groups available. Registration is open, and you can do so with one of the links below, or at the church (there should be both a console and paper sign up).

Child Care: Sunday PM childcare provided at church 6-8.

1. Bible Study

The first group will be engaged in a study in Obadiah. This minor prophet has a major message that is relevant to us today; the one who is prideful and unforgiving will be brought to nothing. By exploring related scriptures, we will learn the backstory to Obadiah’s message and how we can apply it to our lives and avoid the pitfall of pride. Group time will consist of a short/console presentation of material at the beginning, small group discussion based on individual’s weekly findings, and “group projects”. Be ready to have your eyes opened to scripture in a fun, meaningful and relatable environment.

2. Topical Study

The second group is going to be working through the study, "Sticky Faith". Research shows that almost half of graduating high school seniors who are committed to Christ will struggle deeply with their faith during their college years.  This study that offers a compelling rationale and a powerful strategy to show parents how to encourage their children’s spiritual growth so that it will stick with them into adulthood.  It doesn’t matter the age or spiritual commitment of your kids, or even if you don’t have kids yet, this could be for you.
